Welcome to Troy Buchanan High School of the Lincoln County R-III School District. The district has been awarded the state's top honor of being Accredited With Distinction. Of the 524 districts in the state, currently only 9% of all schools have received the Accredited With Distinction recognition.
This fabulous high school was completed in the fall of 1996. The $18 million facility currently enrolls in excess of 1,300 students. In addition to the 35 regular classrooms, the building boasts a business education area, six science labs, three family and consumer science rooms, a gymnasium the presently seats approximately 1,550, three art rooms, six special education rooms, a large commons area, and the fine arts area which includes a band room, a chorus room and double-room performance classroom.
The district has a rich fine arts history that is built on a firm foundation. Students are introduced to extracurricular music activities at a young age via the Little Trojans music group. Once they reach the middle school level, students are competing on a statewide level and continue to do so throughout their high school years.
